Detailed product description

Build your own vehicles with Coblo

With the Coblo Pastel car bases, children can literally give their creations wheels. This expansion set contains 2 car bases specially designed for use with Coblo magnetic tiles. Children click the tiles onto the bases to build their own cars, trucks, or fantasy vehicles that can actually drive.

The Coblo car bases are also available in classic primary colors and in a cool black color.

Learning and developing through play

With Coblo, children discover how much fun building, combining, and creating can be. While building, children develop logical thinking, spatial awareness, and problem-solving skills through play.

Because Coblo is open-ended toy, there are no fixed rules. Children use their imagination, experiment with different designs, and simultaneously develop their fine motor skills and creativity.

How do the Coblo car bases work?

The car bases are specially designed for use with Coblo magnetic tiles. Children simply click the magnetic tiles onto the base to build their own vehicle. Thanks to the strong magnets, the constructions stay firmly in place while driving and playing.

Note: expansion set

This set contains only car bases and is intended as an expansion for existing Coblo magnetic tiles. The car bases can be used in combination with Coblo magnetic tiles or other brands of magnetic tiles.

Magnetic play, learning every day

At Coblo, we believe that the best development begins with free play. With our magnetic tiles, children are given every opportunity to discover, create, and bring their own ideas to life. Without rules, but with endless possibilities. Whether they are building a castle, spelling their first words with letter toppers, or learning basic math with number toppers: every play session contributes to their development. This is how creativity, spatial awareness, language and math skills, and fine motor skills grow through play. Every day a child plays, they learn something new. That is the power of Coblo.

What makes Coblo different from others?

Coblo is a Dutch brand that distinguishes itself through the unique star design in the tiles, which helps to reduce scratches. Moreover, the range goes beyond just magnetic tiles, including tile toppers, marble runs, and various other extensions that invite open-ended play, at home and at school. Coblo tiles feature the strongest magnets in the category, enabling sturdy and tall structures. In addition, Coblo stands for safety and only brings products to market that have an extra-safe finish using rivets in the corners. These ensure that the tiles remain securely closed, so that children can play safely and without worry.

What age is Coblo suitable for?

Coblo is suitable for children aged 3 to 12. Younger children start by sorting by color and simple shapes, while older children build complex 3D constructions. In this way, the toy grows with the child's age and remains interesting for years.

Is Coblo safe?

All Coblo products are made of certified ABS plastic, are BPA and phenol-free, and have been independently tested by TÜV or SGS International. Coblo complies with CE, EN71, REACH, and SVHC certifications. Not suitable for children under 3 years of age due to small parts. In addition, Coblo exclusively markets magnetic tiles that are finished with extra safety in mind, featuring rivets in the corners. These ensure that the tiles remain securely closed, allowing children to play safely and without worry.

Are Coblo tiles compatible with other brands?

All Coblo sets can be combined with each other and are also compatible with other brands of magnetic tiles.

What are Coblo Toppers?

Coblo tile toppers are thin theme cards in the size of a magnetic tile. Thanks to the black base layer with iron particles, the toppers stick firmly to the magnetic tiles, but can also be easily removed. Think of roads, letters, numbers, or animals. They transform the basic set into educational toys for language, math, puzzles, or imaginative play.

The toppers are not magnetic themselves and only work in combination with magnetic tiles. You need Coblo magnetic tiles to stick the toppers to a refrigerator or whiteboard, for example.

Is Coblo also suitable for the classroom or at school?

Certainly, Coblo is the number 1 brand in schools. Coblo is widely used in both Montessori and mainstream education. There are special school and family boxes available with assignment cards for 100 educational activities focused on letters, numbers, colors, and basic shapes.

Can I expand my set later?

Yes, absolutely! All Coblo sets and expansions can be combined with each other. You can easily start with a basic set and expand it later with extra tiles, toppers, marble runs, and other accessories. This way, Coblo grows along with your child's age, imagination, and interests. And of course, the rule applies: the more Coblo, the more fun the building possibilities!
